FAQs

SUN BLOCK WINDOW TINT
  • What is the drying time for window tint?

The drying process for newly installed window film typically takes between 3 to 5 days. However, this duration can vary significantly depending on factors such as the brand and type of film used, as well as current weather conditions.
  • How can I clean my tinted windows?

During the drying period, your tinted windows may appear hazy or have a lumpy texture, possibly with visible water bubbles. It's crucial to avoid rolling down your tinted windows until they are completely dry to prevent damage to the film.
  • My window tint has black dotted edges on it, what can I do?

The black dotted edges you're seeing are likely part of the car's design. Many vehicles have a black ceramic 'frit' edge on the rear window, which can be straight or dotted. These ceramic dots are often quite thick, which can prevent the window film from adhering properly in these areas.
  • My seat belt chipped my window tint, what can I do?

We advise caution when releasing seat belts to prevent damage to your window tint. The impact of a seat belt hitting the glass can create small chips in the window film. Please note that this type of damage is not covered under our warranty.
  • Will there be any imperfections on my window tint?

Though we strive for perfection in our installations, due to the nature of the product, some degree of dust contamination and/or minor imperfections are present in every window film application. Also, pre-existing flaws or scratches and metal deposits on the glass are often much more noticeable after the windows are tinted. Small silvery-looking spots or ‘metal rubs’ on some windows are usually found in station wagons or other utility vehicles and are caused by a metallic object (such as a baby stroller handle) rubbing against the inner surface of the glass during travel. This rubbing deposits metal onto the glass, creating a silver or grey stain. Usually these metal rubs aren’t very noticeable and often aren’t noticed until the windows become tinted.
  • Why is light reflecting off my defogger lines?

This is called Night Time Defogger Distortion. At night you may notice that the light from headlights will reflect off of the defogger lines. This is caused by the film having to bend slightly around the raised defogger line; it varies from car to car, and there is nothing that can be done about it.
